The best trait depends on placement count, critical scaling, damage over time, and the unit’s real job. Unbound has the largest raw bonus, but its 0.1% rate and 1,500 pity do not make it the automatic answer for every unit. Reaper is the clearest counterexample: multiple placements and crit scaling make Forsaken the better fit.

Reason
Do not do this
String Demon
Primordial
More attack cycles and range improve Cocoon and team links
Judge it only by personal DPS
Toy Maker
Unbound
One-placement summoner receives exceptional value from the huge single-unit bonus
Rank the non-Unbound version as automatic A tier
Crimson
Unbound
Raises the mark, explosion, and pool damage base
Use Forsaken as the default
Flame Emperor / Hollow
Draconic
+50% DoT damage, +20% damage, and -10% overall cost fit Burn teams
Build Hollow without reliable Burn
Salmon Sorcerer
Primordial
Lower SPA and more range create more control opportunities
Spend to Unbound purely for support
The Hero / Forbidden Teacher
Primordial or Optics
Optics matters only if the extra range captures another important carry
Keep range that changes no aura coverage
Ramen Guy / real income unit
Investor
Investor increases the unit's income by 25%
Use Investor on a unit with no income skill

A sensible reroll plan
Choose the unit, target, and stop before rolling. A developing account can keep Limit Breaker, Bolt, Optics, or Precision when that trait directly serves the unit. Reserve deep Unbound chases for a permanent one-placement or high-scaling carry. After a rare roll, test it on the same stage before deciding that a theoretical upgrade is worth hundreds more crystals.
Quick answers
Should I reroll Primordial to chase Unbound?
Usually not unless the unit is a permanent meta carry and you can afford to lose an excellent general trait. Primordial is already a powerful stopping point.
Is Draconic good on Cursed Student?
Yes when Bleed and DoT are a consistent part of the team, but the current top-end ranking still places Unbound above it for total mathematical damage.
