Anime Expeditions Tournaments Guide

Plan Anime Expeditions Solo and Duo Tournament runs, improve a damage score, and verify Crowns, rewards, attempts and leaderboard resets.

The EA+ release added Solo Tournaments, Duo Tournaments and Infinite Global Leaderboards. The first public Tournament #1 strategy run is damage-score focused and demonstrates an economy phase, defensive setup, ability timing and a final score check. That makes a useful launch strategy, but it does not prove every future Tournament will use the same scoring or reset rules. Start with the current unit tier list, then use the team composition guide and placement guide to build the attempt around the active rule.

Tournament stage and reward index

This is currently a format-level index, not a fabricated bracket chart. The live stage name, modifier, reward quantities and timer were not included in the EA+ patch log, so those cells remain pending the active Tournament card.

Launch damage-score plan

The public Tournament #1 run separates the attempt into four useful phases: farming, setting the defense, starting the ability rotation, and checking the final score. Use that structure for a first damage-based attempt.

1. Establish economy without leaking

Place the cheapest reliable defender before investing heavily in a farm unit. The goal is not maximum farm upgrades at the earliest second; it is the most economy you can build while the lane remains safe.

2. Build one complete damage core

Put the primary carry where it has long uptime on enemies. Upgrade it before scattering money across several placements. Add the support or debuff that affects that carry, then add a second damage source only after the first core is working.

3. Time abilities for uptime

Do not press every active ability as soon as it lights up. Start the rotation when enemies remain in range long enough to receive the full effect. If an ability has a long cooldown, record the timestamp so the next use lands before the attempt ends.

4. Submit a safe result first

Finish one valid attempt, confirm that it appears on the correct Solo or Duo board, and read the point breakdown. Optimize one slot or timing decision per run after that.

Role and placement index

Role
Placement
Upgrade priority
Score warning
Opener
Early bend with enough coverage to hold cheaply
Only the upgrades needed for a safe lane
Overinvesting can delay the scaling carry.
Farm
Any legal space outside valuable attack coverage
Stop when the payback would arrive too late
A farm slot is bad if the attempt ends before it repays.
Main carry
Longest enemy exposure or overlapping lanes
Complete the important damage and attack changes first
Poor uptime wastes even top-tier stats.
Support
Aura covers the upgraded carry and useful secondary units
Reach the meaningful buff breakpoint
Duplicate effects may not stack.
Control
Before the damage zone so enemies stay inside it
Reach the required slow, stagger or CC effect
Immune targets turn this into a dead slot.
Ability unit
Full ability area covers the active enemy pack
Prepare the unit before the scoring window
Late activation can lose a full cooldown cycle.

Solo Tournament plan

Solo requires one roster to handle the opener, economy, damage and support. Start with a stable six-slot template: opener, farm, main area carry, scaling or boss carry, support and control/flex. If the current rule is total damage, the flex slot should add useful uptime rather than only protecting the base.

Save the final result screen. Record score, placements, upgrade order, ability timestamps and the point where money stopped being useful. That turns the next attempt into a test instead of a guess.

Duo Tournament plan

Decide jobs before entering:

  • Player A: opener, lane stability and one support effect.
  • Player B: farm timing and the primary scaling carry.
  • Agree who places control and who uses each active ability.
  • Do not bring the same non-stacking support unless both lanes need separate coverage.
  • Confirm whether both players’ unit restrictions, Traits and gear are active under the current rules.

The EA+ patch notes confirm the Duo format, but they do not say that Solo and Duo share one reward bracket. Treat their boards, attempts and payouts as separate until the lobby shows otherwise.

Reward and reset checklist

  1. Open the active Tournament card in the Event Calendar.
  2. Read the scoring description and any unit, Trait, element or party restriction.
  3. Check entry cost and attempts remaining.
  4. Open every reward bracket and note the Crown and Trait Crystal quantities shown.
  5. Read the leaderboard header for the reset or season end.
  6. After the run, confirm the score posted to the correct board.
  7. Before reset, check whether rewards are automatic, mailed or manually claimed.

No exact permanent reset time, tie-break rule, Crown amount or Toy Maker acquisition requirement was independently verified in the July 15 patch log. Do not state that Toy Maker is a Tournament reward unless the current Tournament panel displays it.

This player-run example shows the launch damage-score flow: farm, establish defense, start ability timing, finish the attempt and verify the score. Copy the structure, then recheck the current Tournament rule.

Tournament FAQ

What is the first Tournament scoring?

The first publicly documented strategy run reports a total-damage score. The live panel remains authoritative because later rotations can change the objective.

What are Crowns used for?

Current item documentation describes Crowns as Tournament currency spent in the Tournament Shop. Check the live shop stock and season timer before deciding how many to save.

Can Tournaments give Trait Crystals?

Trait Crystals are listed among current Tournament sources, but the exact bracket amount and claim method were not published in the EA+ patch summary.

When does the Tournament reset?

No stable reset time was confirmed. Read the active card and leaderboard timer. Daily or Weekly Quest reset does not prove that the Tournament board resets at the same time.

Documented July 16, 2026: Solo, Duo and Infinite Global Leaderboards; damage-score Tournament #1 gameplay; Crowns and reported Trait Crystal rewards. Current scoring, attempts, tie-breaks, reset and bracket quantities remain live-panel data.
