Evolution is a major commitment because it competes with other units for materials and farming time. Evolve a unit after it proves its role, then use Ascension, Potential, equipment, and accessories to solve specific remaining weaknesses.

Complete release evolution recipe index
Open the live Evolution preview before spending. Current ability records resolve several release-page conflicts: Piercing Crimson deals 75% current damage each second during its ten-second channel; Spirit Bats deal 25% per attack; String Demon cocoons on every fifth regular attack and the ten-hit break deals 125%; base Elf Mage spells are 100% each before Elven Battle Staff changes the later tiers; base Wildfire spreads to three enemies before Emperor’s Attire changes it to five.
Use Unit Trials for the special-item farming boundary and M.A.S.T.R.R. True Love for the separate Manga skin route.
How to choose the first evolution
- The unit appears in most of your successful teams.
- Its evolved ability solves a real damage, control, or support problem.
- You can farm the materials consistently.
- The investment does not leave the rest of the team underleveled.
- You have confirmed the current recipe in game.
Do not stack upgrades blindly
A premium trait, perfect Potential, and rare equipment on one unfinished carry can cost more than a balanced raid team. Upgrade until the unit clears the intended content, then move to the next bottleneck.
