Anime Expeditions Status Effects Guide

Look up Freeze, Burn, Slow, Stagger, Stun, Bleed, Cocoon, marks, shields, buffs, and the live tests needed for stacking and immunity.

Status effects win maps by changing enemy movement, damage windows, or allied output. An icon alone is not enough: record the source, duration, target, stack owner, refresh rule, immunity, and whether a second copy stacks, overwrites, or does nothing.

This index separates verified unit wording from interactions that still need a live test. It does not create a universal boss-immunity or stacking table.

Status and mechanic lookup

Verified source and behavior
Best player use
Still verify live

20 Bleed stacks in Cursed Student's Range trigger a Spirit Bat when Promise Ring is equipped, up to 3 bats
Enable the equipment trigger

What changes
Why the distinction matters
Enemy status
Slow, Stagger, Freeze, Burn, Bleed, Cocoon, Mana Burn
Enemy movement, action, health, or tag state
Immunity and refresh can be target-specific
Mark or amplification
Puppet's +20% incoming-Damage mark; True Saint's marks
How later hits or Critical triggers resolve
A mark is not automatically a DoT or Stun
Lane movement
Rewind, pushback, walls
Enemy path position or progress
A boss can resist movement without resisting Damage
Ally protection
Water Princess shield and debuff block
Whether an allied unit receives an effect
Nearest-target geometry controls value
Ally buff
Magical and Physical Damage auras
Eligible allied output
Damage type and Range decide eligibility

Controlled stacking and immunity test

  1. Use Sandbox or one fixed Story stage with the same difficulty and target.
  2. Place one source and record the icon, value, duration, and recovery window.
  3. Add a second identical source only after the first result is repeatable.
  4. Observe whether the number rises, duration refreshes, stronger value overwrites, or the second application fails.
  5. Repeat against a normal enemy, elite, and boss; label immunity separately for each.
  6. Remove traits, equipment, and mode modifiers where possible, or list them beside the result.

Do not generalize one result to every status. Freeze counting as Stun does not prove that Slow, Stagger, Cocoon, and rewind share the same immunity rules. Use the elements and damage-types guide for type labels and the ability index for source wording.

Frequently asked questions

Do Slow and Stagger mean the same thing?

No. Slow reduces movement; Stagger temporarily stops a target. Their refresh and immunity rules can differ.

Does Burn from several units stack?

No universal cross-source rule is verified here. Record the tick owner, value, and refresh behavior instead of adding every tooltip percentage.

Does Bleed always improve Cursed Student?

Only when 20 stacks exist inside its Range while the required Promise Ring trigger is active. Bleed elsewhere does not satisfy the disclosed condition.

Can Water Princess block a boss debuff?

The verified text says one debuff, but the complete block list is not confirmed. Test the exact effect and record whether the shield was consumed.

Named effects and disclosed values checked July 18, 2026. Current in-game cards control stacking, refresh, immunity, and balance-adjusted values.
