The Mythic roster contains nine units. Three are current S-tier damage carries, one is an S-tier damage/support hybrid, and several specialists become much better when the team activates their passive. This ranking uses the named release form, not an unevolved base card.

Best first Mythic investments
If you need one broadly useful damage carry, prioritize Puppet, Elf Mage, Lady Giant, or Cursed Student. Puppet needs the least explanation in a mixed team because its damage amplification helps everyone. Elf Mage is easier to optimize when you already own crit equipment. Lady Giant wants attack-speed help. Cursed Student wants both a strong nearby copy target and reliable Bleed.
If your damage is already solved, Salmon Sorcerer or String Demon can improve more runs than another carry. Control creates extra attack cycles for every placed unit and protects against fast enemies that raw boss damage does not stop.
Evolution status matters
Cursed Student, Puppet, Elf Mage, Salmon Sorcerer, and String Demon have confirmed base-to-named-form recipes. Do not compare an unevolved card against the named tier above. The complete form includes passives such as Complete Control, Arcane Spells, Cocoon of Carnage, or Spirit Bats that define the ranking.
Mythic team pairs
- Flame Emperor + Hollow: Flame Emperor maintains Burn so Hollow can activate its conditional damage.
- Cursed Student + a verified Bleed source: Bleed stacks create Spirit Bats. Crimson’s Mark is not treated as Bleed unless the live status icon explicitly confirms it.
- Puppet + any high-output carry: damage amplification raises the team’s result.
- Elf Mage + Magical buffer: Forbidden Teacher supports a Magical cluster.
- Lady Giant + control: walls and Slow give the Giant form more time to attack.

Is the highest-DPS Mythic always the best first pick?
No. A new account often gains more from a carry that works without a specialized team. Cursed Student, Hollow, and Lady Giant each have clear conditions that must be supported.
Is Salmon Sorcerer weak because it ranks as support?
No. Its Slow and Stagger can create more total team damage than replacing it with a lower-tier attacker.
