Shadow (Divine) Unit Guide

Players search Shadow (Divine) as Megumi; use the in-game Shadow name to verify the Secret form, skills, build and obtain panel.

Shadow (Divine) is an S-tier Secret hybrid in the current release ranking. Its summons provide carry damage, while its Domain adds enemy pushback and support for Magical allies. That combination makes Shadow valuable even when another unit wins a single-target damage test. Exact summon inheritance, Domain values, placement limits, and obtain odds still belong to the live unit and banner panels.

How to obtain and evolve Shadow

Shadow is listed as a Secret release unit. The Divine Fortune badge establishes that the Standard Banner can produce a Shiny Secret result, but it does not name Shadow, publish Shadow’s odds, or guarantee the Divine form. Open the current banner Rates panel and record the exact Secret pool and pity wording before spending Gems.

The current unit index treats Shadow (Divine) as the named form used by rankings, but this page does not have a live-captured Divine recipe to reproduce safely. Open Evolution with your base Shadow selected and confirm the exclusive item, materials, Gold, and resulting form. If the card already reads Shadow (Divine), do not assume another evolution is required. Lock the unit and every Shadow-specific material while checking the route.

How summons and the Domain work

Current release coverage documents Shadow as a summoner whose Domain pushes enemies and strengthens Magical allies. Use those mechanics as the build direction, not as permission to invent a multiplier. The live passive and upgrade panels must answer four questions:

  1. How many summons can exist and how long they remain active.
  2. Which owner stats, Trait bonuses, Potential, and equipment lines transfer to a summon.
  3. How much the Domain changes Magical damage and how long it remains active.
  4. Which bosses or elites resist the pushback.

Run one test with Shadow alone, then repeat with the same Magical carry inside the Domain. Record summon damage, direct damage, clear time, and the carry’s visible buff state separately. A higher team result can justify Shadow even when the result screen does not credit every point to the unit.

Best Trait for Shadow

Unbound is the optimized endgame target because its broad Damage, SPA, and Range gains serve both the high-investment carry role and Domain coverage. Primordial is the sensible stopping Trait for most accounts: it supports damage, cadence, and range without requiring a deep chase. A useful range or speed roll can remain playable while Shadow’s form, levels, Potential, and team are still being built.

Do not call Unbound mandatory. The best Traits by unit guide explains the account-level stopping rule, and the live panel should decide whether a new roll changes summon output or Domain coverage enough to justify more Trait Crystals.

Best equipment

No Shadow-specific dedicated item appears in the current documented equipment index. Magic Orb is a general Damage and Range piece worth testing when broader summon or Domain coverage changes the map. Magic Book should only be considered after the evolved unit card identifies Shadow as Magical. A type-specific item fitted from animation alone can waste the slot.

Neither item is required. First confirm whether the selected equipment changes summon damage, only Shadow’s direct attack, or both. Keep the stronger real clear rather than a theoretically better label. See the equipment-by-unit lookup for current alternatives and the equipment index for documented sources.

Best teammates and team shell

  • Elf Mage: gains more value from a Magical-friendly cluster and supplies crit-scaled follow-ups.
  • Forbidden Teacher: offers another Magical support effect, but use the live buff display before assuming both effects stack fully.
  • Puppet: adds damage amplification and can rewind a priority target into Shadow’s shared range.
  • Salmon Sorcerer or String Demon: adds control so summons and Magical carries receive more attack time.
  • Affordable opener or economy unit: pays for the Secret carry without leaving the first waves undefended.

A practical Magical team starts with Shadow, Elf Mage, Puppet, one controller, one affordable opener, and one flexible buffer or economy slot. The team compositions guide shows replacements when the full premium shell is unavailable.

Placement and mode plan

Place Shadow around a central bend or overlapping lane where the Domain can cover several developed Magical units without pulling them away from good path coverage. Keep the primary carry cluster inside the useful area, but do not compress every unit into one weak corner merely to gain a buff. On split lanes, protect the route first and treat Domain coverage as the second optimization.

Shadow suits Story waves, long boss stages, Raids, and damage-focused Tournaments when summons have time to work. In a short low-economy map, an expensive Secret setup may arrive too late; use a cheaper opener and compare the actual clear. Recheck Tournament restrictions before relying on a Trait, summon, or pushback interaction. The unit placement guide covers the shared corner and support-cluster rules.

Live verification checklist

  • Capture the active banner, Secret pool, displayed odds, and pity text.
  • Confirm whether the card is base Shadow or Shadow (Divine).
  • Record damage type, placement cap, cost, upgrades, attack shape, and targeting.
  • Test summon cap, lifetime, stat inheritance, and behavior after selling or moving Shadow.
  • Read Domain strength, duration, cooldown, coverage, and buff-stacking display.
  • Test pushback against normal enemies, elites, and bosses instead of assuming universal control.
  • Compare identical Story and boss runs before changing the Trait or equipment.

Quick answers

Is Shadow the guaranteed Standard Banner Secret?

A Shiny Standard Banner Secret result is documented by the badge, but it does not name Shadow, publish the rate, or guarantee which Secret appears. The current Rates panel is the final check.

Is Shadow automatically the best unit?

No. Shadow is a current S-tier hybrid because summons and Magical support solve several jobs, but cost, form, placement, immunity, and the rest of the team still decide the best unit for a map.

Current findings reviewed July 16, 2026 from the release roster, current tier coverage, and documented build indexes. Banner odds, Divine evolution materials, summon inheritance, Domain values, pushback immunity, and equipment transfer still require the live game.
